A Genetic Linkage Map of BC2 Population Reveals QTL Associated with Plant Architecture Traits in Lagerstroemia

Plant architecture improvement is of great significance in influencing crop yield, harvesting efficiency and ornamental value, by changing the spatial structure canopy. However, mechanism on plant woody plants still unclear. In order to study genetic control traits promote marker-assisted selection (MAS), a linkage map was constructed, QTL mapping performed. this study, using 188 BC2 progenies as materials, Lagerstroemia constructed amplification fragment length polymorphisms (AFLP) simple sequence repeats (SSR) markers, QTLs four key (plant height, crown width, primary lateral branch height internode length) were analyzed. The contains 22 groups, including 198 AFLP markers 36 SSR markers. total genome covered 1272 cM, average distance between 6.8 cM. Three related located LG1, LG4 LG17 phenotypic variation rates 32.36, 16.18 12.73%, respectively. A width LG1 group, rate 18.07%. Two LG7 20.59 15.34%, LG20 14.86 9.87%. results provide scientific basis for finely genes breeding Lagerstroemia.
